This event was prepared in a short notice and the idea of it was to get back to the 1st of the month theme that we started with after deviating from it in the past two months.

We sought companies who uses social media as a part of their business core, and we had a scenario setup and we thought of trying the panels format this month after we saw how interesting it was in the MENA ICT forum, now what could go wrong with that? Expectations, simply what people expected was a different event, and i guess it's our fault that we didn't give the event more preparation time. But over all, the event was successful to some people, and bellow the expectations to a lot, in my opinion, it was a perfect timing for us to learn something new.

In the past few months, AmmanTT was received very well from the IT audience, and with each month we were receiving greater demand and more expectations, which is a great thing that we all are happy to have and proud of the support we get from the community, but as team members, we get busy with work and we try to give AmmanTT a good amount of weekly hours to make it a successful event that meets all the expectations, but you can never meet them all, as for some people who are always negative or try to impose a certain way of thinking, everything should be marked bad or in a negative way.

At today's event, some audience started to talk about feet and arabic speaking, as i am with the second one, and i support all what was said (Not the jokes, but i LOL at them) the first one was the one i would like to stop to talk about, now we all know that feet facing faces or setting in a certain way is not acceptable in our culture, but the way the issue was handled from a well known lady in the crowd was not polite nor a professional one from an ex-candidate who might have became a parliament member that will represent us.

The way it was handled: few tweets started about a panelist setting with his legs crossed and his shoes bottom facing part of the audience, asking him to put it down and show more respect, later the tweet feed was filled of jokes and comments about it (the shoe size and that kind of stuff). when the questions time came, the lady took the mic and the first thing she said to a respected CEO that "Put your feet down when you talk to us!", this comment made a lot of people uncomfortable, and personally, i lost a lot of respect for the lady, it was an awful, rude and a not respected act. we all know that you are popular and very respected, but please, respect people before you expect them to respect you!

The way it could have been done: wait till the end of the session, reach out for the speakers, tell them that guys this is not appropriate and such words, they will learn from it, never do it again, and we all live happily ever after.

One part of making this problem viral was that the moderator didn't know what was going on, we failed at providing a tweets screen in front of the moderator so that he can take the proper action at when the issue started, but that was not the case, and it took too long and the end was an ugly baby that nobody with a sense of respect will appreciate.

From my perspective, we learned a lot today, and it was a good but painful experience, and i assure you that all of this will change, last week we started putting a new operational plan for the team that will be more effective and more organized than what we have now, and with your valuable feedback and support we are changing and trying new stuff that will help make the AmmanTT event a much more enjoyable learning experience.

Remember, if you are welling to put the time and effort, please join us at the team and help making the world a better place :D

End of thought!

I want my freedom back!

I haven't written anything in my blog since last March, and the reason is mainly the social media platform such as twitter and Facebook, but you never know what you have missed unless it is threatened to be taken away from you!

We have all heard about the new laws in Jordan regarding the online practice, and what is meant to control the web, but it is freaking everyone out, not because we do bad stuff on the world wide web everyday, and we are afraid of getting caught, but mainly because it is the only truly free platform that we found out there to express ourselves in a civilized manner.

Although nothing happened yet, and we don't expect to get imprisoned for our tweets and Facebook updates, but the possibility itself is mind blowing. And it is so dangerous because you are not free anymore!

And i am surprised by all the people who praised the law in it's current form, and wondering if they ever use the internet the way we do! but you can see from their articles and comments that they are old school journalists, who have lost their names among the new generations, and couldn't keep up with the accelerating change the web has introduced to our lives.

The internet is not about control, even the USA cannot do it well, and i can name you many applications that can help you go anonymous (Maybe that will lead me straight to prison!), but leave me alone and i will leave you alone, start tracking me, and life will be harder for everyone.

Also the idea itself means that we have a huge issue in this country, the way the government used to control over the people, and the total control of media, now all is gone, more people have internet access, and more people are exposed to information.

I love my country, and love everything attached to it. "I AM JORDAN" is a phrase that i would like to shout out loud. so i believe our government has some better serious issues to take care of, such as poverty, sanitation, education, freedom, wasta ...etc

Finally, if writing is only exclusive to people who holds a degree in journalism, then cultures and societies would never have evolved, and revolutions would have never occurred, so it all starts with freedom, and it is my legal and human right to be able to express myself on any media i like.

Notes from my facebook account

I just stopped using (deactivated) my facebook account, because of that terms of use violation they made, and thus i am posting my "wonderfull" notes here so that some people can enjoy them.

Here they are:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Happy birthday to me. NotShare
Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 3:10am
On my 24th birthday, i would like to thank you all for wishing me all the best in my life and wishing me a happy birthday.

But unfortunately, as usual, days i expect to be cheerful and happy, becomes the opposite. so today was one of those days that will be printed in my memory.

I woke up today about 9:00 AM, it took me half an hour to get ready and to head out to my office. i discovered that i have no cash, so i made a visit to the nearest HSBC branch (Jabal al hussien), and i waited at the line to get to the ATM machine.

The thing is that i get paid every Wednesday at 3:00 AM, so for me i was planning to spend a hand full of cash on hanging out, and the total cash amount i had in my pocket was equal to null (In programming, it means nothing at all :), so my turn came and i started the process of money withdrawing.

So i said good morning to the guy next to me, and he was a little bit busy making the steps of withdrawing money many times, he seemed like broke to me, but it didn't matter, soon his money and mine will be out. He took his card and swore at the machine, and the stupid bank, but i didn't care, because i had an American card that does not relate to any Arabic bank that is out of service.

So here were it all began, so confident, i entered my card, and entered my password, suddenly a sound came out of the machine, and an unusual " Beep Beep" came out in my face, and a message saying "this card may be corrupted" shocked me. But the card tried to came out, and somehow only the edge of the card came out, so a fight between me and the machine started to win the card, i tried to get the card by my nails, but they were too Short, and i think a small amount of force was created by the head of my finger (About 0.001 N) that told the machine to take my card, so the machine won the fight.

So as a well behaved young man, i shouted at the machine and swore at it, regretting the day i came here. so i headed directly into the bank asking for my card, and the response was "come early tomorrow and take it".

Well, that sounds compelling. Considering the amount of cash i have, i knew i will have a happy day! But luckily the office was only about 15 minutes of walking from my current spot, so at least i can reach work!

So here i am with no money or anything, my partner is trying to call me, i knew there is something happening. 15 minutes later, i did reach the office, and i was so happy i wanted to make a cup of tea, well i couldn't!! there was no sugar left in the office, and most of the cups are dirty, so i had to wash them. Well, i don't want to whine about everything, but my mobile number was disconnected, and i had to buy credits.

My partner called and he had something wrong with his teeth, so he went to see the dentist. alone in the office, i decided to go and borrow some stuff from the shop downstairs, i do that sometimes, but today was another story written in my book of shame. When i got there, i found that half of the people working in the area was at that shop, and no one was shopping, all of them are talking to the guy who runs the store, so i asked for both the card and the sugar, and told him i will pay you later (alligator), so all of them stopped talking and looked at me, now to exit this situation, i had to tell them i lost my card, and they started giving me instructions on how i can get my card, like the people at the bank were not explaining that for 3 seconds, i had to listen to all of their experiences for about 15 minutes, and when every new guy comes in, they tell him that i had lost my card, and he starts making a story about his adventures with cards and banks.

Maybe this seems like not a big deal to you, but imagine, those guys owns the building where my office is located, and the building in front of it, all what they do during the day is setting on the walls of those buildings and talk, so when they see you coming, they stop talking and look at you, no matter how you ignore them, they wait for your "hello" and to wave your hand, and if you don't ... believe me you have to.

So surrounded by sick people, i never left the office until my partner came as a surprise to take me to dinner :D, and this is the only thing i ate on my birthday.

so happy birthday to me, and thank you all for the greetings, and for my partner for being such a good friend.

Comments:

Ahmad Abu Gharbieh at 8:21am February 12
happy 24th :)
inshallah on ur 25th u will be driving a lambo ;)

Rasha Sheikh at 8:49am February 12
It's always like this..when we have high expectations about something, we're usually let down w bil3aks!
It wasn't the best of days but at least it wasn't 'usual' hehe!
5alas pick another day next week, consider it your birthday and go out and have fun! no one can tell you can't do so ;)

Waeth M. The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute, fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of our production and consumption patterns. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world. It'll teach you something, it'll make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever.

[End]

download the movie and watch:

http://web.1.c3.audiovideoweb.com/1c3web3536/StoryOfStuff.mov

Regards,

Ata Alqadi
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My own Halloween!! 1/11/2007Share
Friday, November 2, 2007 at 7:06pm

If you could possibly think of a horrible day in your life, i don't think it will be like mine!!!

Read the whole story, it is all connected, and tell me what you think.

Yesterday i had a lovely wakening, i just woke up relaxed and happy, i was getting ready to go to the university like usual, after i left home, it all started.

Act one: the taxi

I found a taxi early after i left home, i had 5 JDs in pocket, and 45 mins early, so that i was planning to get to class on time (For the first time this semester), so guess what?? i arrived 5 mins earlier, but... when we arrived, i had the 5 JDs, and as usual the taxi driver has no change, i asked some girls waiting for a taxi on the gate(s) of the university for some change, and i donnu how, i lost 1 JD in the process (Damn girls!!) so this was act one!!

Act two: the class

As usual, the satellite class is no fun, i donuu what the hell is going on, orbits and stuff, nothing fun, and some boring atmosphere. but this is not bad thing, it is usual. also i don't think this is pretty mush part of my Halloween day!!

Act three: Creative Zen

I have purchased a Creative Zen micro form the net three weeks ago, it supposed to arrive one week ago, but (sub7an allah) it arrived to Jordan, and Aramex for the first time had problems in delivery (Internal delivery), and i had to wait one extra week, so it finally delivered and i went to pick it up from my friend's house (He uses ship&shop), i didn't open it, but i was delighted i had it.

Act four: Lunch

I went to have lunch with my friends at Kindisoft, we went to Costello (A nice restaurant near the university) and ordered some pizza, we ate and had some fun, i tested the Creative Zen for the first time, i just plugged in the battery and tested the music, it seemed nice and fun, it had some nice features, and a lovely sound, i liked it.

We joked and had fun, then we went to the company, and i gave Ammar some media files (Good stuff), and i think i left my keys on the table (Remember that) i synchronized some media files to my Zen, and it worked just as beautiful as i expected.

As far you see, it was lovely, except for the taxi thing!! keep going

Act five: Leaving to Orwa's

I was planning to get home, but i saw Orwa waiting for a taxi, so introduced him to the Zen and tested it together, then he invited me to his home, and we waited for the taxi together.

After 10 mins, no taxi came, and every time somebody (a Girl, with boobs) stands ahead of us, and takes the taxi, it was irritating, coz it is not polite to take someones turn, so we decided to step ahead in that position, and guess what!! the taxis went to our previous position (where again girls with boobs was standing). after 15 mins luckily a taxi came and took us.

Act six: Damaging the Zen!!

This is the worst part ever, the long waited mp3 player got corrupted, here is how:

I was planning to charge it (Via Usb 2.0 port), and to synch some music from Orwa's PC, i just plugged it in, and it turned off!! first i thought the buttery got dead, but i left it some time and it didn't respond, or even turn on!!

Then i discovered that the usb port i plugged the player in is damaged, it has no plastic thing beneath the usb wires, so as you know when plugging a usb device in the port, i only goes one way, but to show how lucky i was, i got in the other way, so the voltages were inverted, and the mp3 player power IC got burned!!!

If you think of it, it's kindda of funny, coz the probability of this happening is 1/6,000,000,000 (Only me in this world), and Creative didn't ever put the possibility that there will be ever a NAKED usb port (without a plastic thing), so DAMN!!!!

Act seven: Reaching Support

As you know PC Zone is the Creative Zen Agent in Jordan, so it was 4:30 PM, and i was planning to reach the support before they close, it is Thursday (Halloween night!!) and they leave early, so we went to take a taxi!! But I would say, you can solve a lot of your problems by getting a car, and getting rid of those "Goddamn Taxis" ;)

Here is a useful thing... I believe you are really talented in writing, and you gotta take advantage of that, somehow... seriously :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Newspapers, when will they ever trace what they write??
Monday, October 1, 2007 at 4:48pm

Hi,

I have gotten into this news:

http://alrai.com/pages.php?news_id=175246

Everything was fine until i found this paragraph::

Now read this, dated Aug 29, 2007:

A hacker who figured out how to unlock the iPhone has traded an unlocked phone for a new car.

After facing problems trying to auction the phone on eBay, George Hotz received a call from CertiCell, a company that refurbishes mobile phones. "Terry Daidone, the founder of CertiCell, contacted me this morning, and offered to make a trade for the iPhone," Hotz wrote on his blog (http://iphonejtag.blogspot.com/2007/08/iphone-has-been-traded.html). "I traded it for a sweet Nissan 350Z and 3 8GB iPhones."

Hotz shared the method he discovered for unlocking the phone on his blog, so the phone he traded doesn't hold any secrets. But he put the phone up for auction because he thought someone might want the phone, the second one that he unlocked, for its historical value. "If you are only bidding on this to get an unlocked iPhone, don't. There are much cheaper and easier ways to get one. This is a piece of cell phone history," he wrote on his blog.
Hotz, who arrived at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York for his first days of college on Sunday, closed the eBay auction after receiving too many fraudulent bids. He then invited legitimately interested buyers to contact him directly.

He plans to give the three iPhones from CertiCell to people who helped him as he worked on unlocking the phone.

Besides accepting the gifts, Hotz agreed to do some consulting work for CertiCell, according to a statement from the company. While the statement says that CertiCell doesn't plan to commercialize Hotz's unlocking method, it also says that part of Hotz's consulting work will include training CertiCell staff on the unlocking process. CertiCell also hopes that Hotz will help its engineers develop new methods for updating software and reflashing refurbished phones.

Since the iPhone went on sale at the end of June, hackers have been working on ways to unlock it . The phones are built to work only on AT&T's wireless network. Unlocking the phone means that a customer can use it on another network and avoid signing a long contract with AT&T.

The process is controversial, however. One company, Uniquephones, says that it has developed a way to unlock the phones, but has delayed the release because of concerns of legal action from AT&T.

I would like to add the following videos on how to unlock the iphone:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omBro8pwlu0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrtnsYwBYR4
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VANzplBSLcQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hepjaMD8-uA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5GaaM-iGRA

So what i simply want to say, is how our newspapers handle the news, and how they don't make enough research on what they post, i don't say that Jordanians are stupid or anything, i am one of them, and i feel smart, but i say smart Jordanian people should not rush into what they read in our newspapers and what we hear of gossips.

I think those guys did a great job flashing that ROM, but they were not the first!!! and i think this is kind of an advertisement to both universities mentioned in the article, and to promote them, but i regret the lack of research.

I remember that time when i read in the zero-one technical newspaper that Macromedia has released Flash 7, and it was a brand new news, mean while Flash 7 had been released 2 years before that article, and flash 8 after that, and Macromedia was promoting for flash 9, and Adobe was in the initial agreement to acquire Macromedia, and that flash 9 will be flash CS3.

Maybe this news is not important to many of Jordanians or even Arabs, or even the whole world, but as a developer i may be interested in reading such news, and the big surprise is to find that the leading technical newspaper in jordan don't even do a small research to what they write!!!! they just pick anything written in Arabic on the forums and put it, they don't even bother to check the trusted sites and to translate what they say.

And as what i always say, not all what you find on the web is true, or up to date.

Just thought of sharing, share what you think too.

Regards,

Ata AlQadi

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The other notes where copied and pasted from other sites, so they are not mine actually, and the comments on them are wack :P

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not the technical support guy!!

Hello again, it has been a while since i wrote here, but i had good reasons, which i will unveil later. for now i have another complaint of mine that i would like to mention.

Listen, I am not the technical support for umniah, orange, sama, zain, batelco, or cyberia. please understand that when I got my bachelor's degree in computer engineering, it didn't mean that i know that you add an extra character to your username when connecting the ADSL modem the first time. Or that you forgot to connect the Ethernet cable again!

I am also not the guy who formatted your PC the last time, neither the guy who installs games to your PC. I also have no intention to backup your data, re-organize your files, or to clean your PC from viruses (Which only you, god and several hundreds of people knows why they got into your PC ;))

I have no magical tool to keep your little brother from playing on your PC, because you refuse to use a password (Which in most cases, is because your father demands that you don't add one, because your little brother was crying all day that he has a science paper to write! or you used your mobile number as a password a 3 year old hacker - your brother - knows how to crack it!!).

I also don't memorize the windows that appears when you do something wrong, don't ever say "it shows another window, what to click!", i think that i have the right to know what is the error, and what options are provided, and in most cases i have to use a translator to translate you Engrish to English, so that i know what the hell you are talking about.

I admit that i studied something about computer, but i am not a sales person, why you ask me about the prices of the RAMs, HDDs, DVDs, Video Cards, and PCs. We both know that I work in a different field, as most people i know say that i write symbols to get things on the screen, which is right, but i don't have a store or work at a company that sells any hardware.

I am also not a hacker, don't call me to ask for modding your PS2 to play pirated games, and your only excuse that i studied 'Computer'!!

Finally, please note that, I apologize for throwing all that in your face, but i had to, because it seems that i must sue the Internet companies for the lack of support, and not giving the users the basics of connecting to the Internet. I waste about an hour or so everyday just answering calls that is only the source of laughing to my work mates!!

Order restored!

&lt;br>

Why so serious?

Despite my opinions of wasting money in the cinema, I have seen the dark knight twice!! I know it seems crazy, but the movie is really great, and I believe that if I had the chance to see it again soon I won't waste it.

Heath Ledger performance was superior, this guy was talented in every way, and the genius writer didn't miss a spot, everything was perfectly connected and complete. And the batman role was not that much in this movie, the joker was the star, I think they should rename it to The colored knight.

Anyway, back to the subject, Why so serious? this is a genius tag line, think of it, apply it to your life, find out how you miss a lot of good moments in your life just for being so serious. Work takes all your time, and you don't like it!! you go home and never sit with your parents just because your are busy or a big boy now!! you never call your friends just because they are gonna waste your valuable time asking how are you!! how are you gonna reply? I am busy, i cannot sleep because of work!

So try to answer yourself, Why so serious? what is it in life more important than family, friends, and relations? work comes and goes, no one dies from hunger. you will die eventually in 30 or 50 years, tops a 100 (or else you will be in guinness book), i bet in 5 years you will loose all your friends, maybe you will miss your parents too.

Just give yourself some time every couple of days, ok you have to work and stuff, just do it for a day or two and work late, then leave early in the next day, don't go to sleep directly, sit with your mother, your father or both. Call a couple of your friends (Calling different people every time help expanding your network of friends and increasing your chances of hanging out), kick you little brothers a** (Optional), do what ever you want, just remove the work from your head.

Again are you brave enough to do this? the next time your employer asks you to sleep in the office, just tell him No! and see what happens.

Yeah and by the way, I encourage you to go and see the dark knight while it is still showing.

Introducing Wasleh.com

Hello again, long time no post. I am writing today to announce wasleh.com, the site is currently under development, and reaching the alpha version, the alpha preview should have been ready by the beginning of this month, but i have been overloaded with other contracts.

Anyway, I will keep the site functionality a secret for competition reasons, but a limited preview alpha will be sent to my close friends and some random people. The site at first will concentrate on Jordan and mainly Amman, then if it goes as expected i will try to make it for the Arab world or even globally.

So it will be a cool app and a very useful one, so wait for it :D

Once upon a time 8000 years ago!

The latest astronomical event was captured by the Hubble Space Telescope this week, A huge star explosion 8000 years ago, which light reached the earth on May 1, 1006 and recorded by the Arabic astronomer Ali ibn Ridwan. 1002 years later we had the chance to see it's ghostly remains.

So people do the math! it took 7000 years for humans to see the lights of the explosion, another 1000 to see it's remaining, well!!

OK, let's create a scenario, let's say that we have been able to create a spaceship that could travel for a zillion of years none stop. It has all the renewable fuels thing, unlimited food supplies, and Mrs X and I.

Me and Mrs X will find our selves lonely after few years, apparently we will be reaching Saturn or something, in a voyage towards planet shnekht in the galaxy shnider, which happens to be 1000000 ly away! but we take our chances! now according to our calculations we must start having kids after we reach the Pluto ex-planet, this way when the ship (we will be dead and being like the founding fathers of the spaceship inhabitants) reaches it's destination, they shall have enough amount of people to fill that planet will live and joy! And when they see any original shnekhters, they will say to them: "All you base are belong to us!".

Enough of this fantasy thing, it is impossible for humans to do that! ok we can make movies about it, but we cannot do that.

I know maybe this post is a total waste of time, but think of what i said, then you will find it's hidden values.

My new business card has arrived :D

Hello, I have received today my new business card, the cool card was designed by my brother's design company lava graphics (http://www.lava-graphics.com/). i hope you like it.

Here is the front view:

And here is the back view:

Regards.

Is there something wrong in the air?!

What happened to us? it is sad how people changed to the worse, where did the smile on the face go? where did the "welcome sir how can I serve you" go? So when the prices went high, the salary is not enough for being nice?

Yesterday I went to Gafra cafe down town, i have been their several times, but this time there was something wrong, the waiters were all aggressive, not just with me, but with all the customers, it was unpleasant experience, and i had to leave after i went into a harsh talk with the waiter.

Now today i went to aramex to pickup some packages i ordered using shop&ship, and damn what a service today, the good looking girls are too ugly!! the conditions are off, no one on the cash, and there are no bags!! no bags, i have to carry the packages with my bare hands!

Well the drawer in front of me is full of bags, but the unpleasant (I say this because i have to be gentle on the blog!) girl closed the damn drawer and said "we are out of bags"! and refused to give me one!

Well i know in your head you say that i did something wrong, but i assure you i didn't, i was just a nice guy who drinks a cup of coffee or picks up his packages.

So i think that there is something wrong in the air, maybe some star came close to earth, or people are out of money, i don't know.

It's right in front of you

Here is another voice in my head I want to share what it said with you. Last Thursday i had this wierd bug while writing some code, and I wasted about 6 hours looking for an answer. It was about some 3D thing in flash, and I concluded that it was impossible to solve.

After 6 hours of googling and searching, I gave up, A headache started, and I was getting ready to leave home, in that moment i remembered some thing I saw on TV a while ago. A guy was trying to open a door using force to leave a burning house, without thinking he just kept pushing the door and kicking it. while his lover was watching, she came to the door, she pulled the handle and opened the door.

Then I thought, I must have done something wrong, I felt that it was something stupid, but wasting more time was not an option. After five minutes of thinking, I figure out the solution.

This is it, the solution is in front of you always, but depending on the way you choose to solve the problem. I say there is nothing impossible, just things hard to reach. so at first I tried the hard way, look for a bug or a defect, try to blame others for your screwups, but the idea is to be genuine and find solutions.

So i think this applies to a lot of things, I will leave it to your imagination to apply this to any accedent you had, or any thing you did.

Ne haw ma?

Well, I had never thought that chinese is a nice language, I have been listening to some of the lessons offered by http://chinesepod.com/, and believe me they are great!

So Ne haw ma is a question meaning how are you? I think it is clear from how it sounds that it was a question, so like arabic, chinese is a natural language, you just put the words together and you get a nice meaning, like Ne haw ma, means you good? like in arabic "anta be5air?" or "enta kwaies?"

So if you are willing to learn such a language (It might be good for you, especially for the future!) i encourage you to go to chin http://chinesepod.com/ and start today!

CheaChea!

Gamer? or Not?

Long time since I wrote anything here, but after I finished the university, I hope now I can have enough time to share my thoughts!

My recent activities are gaming, sleeping, and Gloria jeans! yes, I am renting a table for about 2.5-5 JODs/day to work, which I think is the best place for free-lancing work in Jordan!

Anyway, I will get back to the subject. Then I jumped ahead and used my PC as an entertainment machine since 2000.

As many of us have experienced, using your PC as a gaming console costs you a fortune, since every year games become more demanding. Upgrading your graphics card every couple of years is a must, to be able to play the latest hits, This requires saving a lot of money to buy the latest card, or you can wait till a card of the last year gets cheaper.

I have always believed that a PC is a PC, not a console machine. Noting how do games take a large amount of disk space, and slow down the PC. I don't know why, but they do.

So what did i do? didn't you guess?! OK, I will tell you: "I bought an XBOX 360!". I know what are you gonna say, "Why didn't you get an Playstation3?". here is why:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uh1jB4hVJRg

To know how much I hate this guy, I can give you a picture. Imagine a pool filled with water and this guy is in the middle, and a naked three-phase power line is passing through the water, now I will get 3 PS3's And reprogram one of them to enable a switch that will pass the electricity through the wire. and i will use the second one as a grill machine, like this:

And I will smash the third one like this:

Or like this:

I know this seems evil, but i will kill that guy!!

About the second question, "Why not get a Wii?", here is why:
So i think i will spare the fun with some decent graphics, to prevent watching this crab on my screen.

So the best choice available was to get an XBOX360, it is super fun, it has all the latest games, and it has decent graphics.

The controller is awsome, fits you hands without the pain that the PS3 console causes to your palm (I have relatively big hands, so it does to me!), and it has the gamer profile thing, with gaming scroes that makes you play to unlock things and get higher points, you can post it on your site or blog, like this:

swfmaster.

So this is what's in my head, and I believe that you should be unique, if people are worship the playstation line of consoles, then it does not mean that they are the best, especially after realeasing the PS3, PS1 & PS2 where amazing, but PS3 sucks!!

So say it loudly and proudly, PS3 is $#!@ (wink wink, nudge nudge!)

The internet is shit

It is vitally important that we all realize this and move on. People (eg Bloggers) go on and on about how wonderful it is. About how much information is out there in cyberspace. About the way that everything is within reach in just a few clicks of their mice.
For instance:

"If I can operate Google, I can find anything... Google, combined with Wi-Fi, is a little bit like God. God is wireless, God is everywhere and God sees and knows everything. Throughout history, people connected to God without wires. Now, for many questions in the world, you ask Google, and increasingly, you can do it without wires, too."

Alan Cohen, V.P. of Airespace, a new Wi-Fi provider, New York Times, 6/29/03

I can name 20 people from my old school class who aren't in Google. I can walk into any public library, no matter how tiny and underfunded, and find facts, stories, amazing information I would never touch in a month of webcrawling. I can go into a bar and hear stories Usenet hasn't come close to in its 22 years of waffle. "Oh but what about the stuff you CAN get on the web?" the netheads say. But they're missing the point.

The internet is not the sole basis upon which you can determine existence. It sounds simple but people are starting to forget. If it doesn't have a website, that doesn't make something low quality. If you can't Google your blind date, that doesn't make them a freak. If one website says something about anything, it's more than likely pure invention and shouldn't be taken seriously. Checking your sources does not mean finding another website that says the same. Fiction is self-perpetuating.

Let's say it another way. A URL is not a mark of quality. It's not proof of honesty or approval from the FDA. Sure, people say they know this already, that a lot of the internet isn't true and a lot of it isn't interesting, no matter how angst-ridden and attention-seeking its author. But still we praise the internet for everything, from mobilising global protests to creating the latest trends, while disappearing up its backside and discarding anything outside it as 'out of touch'.

While we ascribe every first-world miracle to the electronic age, there's something truly missing that we once had in our grasp: our sense of wonder. Back in 1995, we were surprised, agog when things appeared on the net. People starting going around saying 'wow, this could really become something'. Slowly (very slowly at 16kbps), strange websites, new information, odd diversions and discussions with people around the world appeared in this brave new world. Each time it was met with surprise and delight, even if some of it was deeply obscure and slightly dull. There was no doubting the potential of the medium.

And look what we've done with it. Food wrappers and soap operas now tell us to visit their websites. Money is pumped online by people who can't even spell HTML. All manner of pointless and irritating content is continually poured down the infinite hole of data, unfiltered and over-appreciated. In accepting freedom of speech, we can't hide from its consequences - which in this case is millions of terabytes of unreliable information, badly designed and clumsily written. We have failed our own creation and given birth something truly awful. We're just too busy cooing over the pram to notice.

We need to start again. We need to stop saying how wonderful things are. We need to openly, truthfully and respectfully admit that the internet itself, in almost all of what's been done with it, is shit.

There's no point in undoing what has been done. What we need to do is to change our attitude. The internet isn't new any more. The evangelists have done their job. Everyone's heard of it even if they don't spend their lives logged on. Now its the job of the congregation to revolt. Chant it from the rooftops, spread it across your server, email it to your friends. The internet is shit.

Source: http://www.internetisshit.org/

True things about our childhood :)

Hi,

I had this email today, you may have seen it before, or can i say "Lived" it before:

Grew up in Amman in 80's and 90's and can relate to the
following:

- You watched Al Manahel everytime it's on, and you know what does "Aqwa men al Shadda, Ahda2 men Al Sukoon" means!

- You can recite the theme songs of Jongar, Grendizer, Al Rajol El Hadidi, Lady Lady, Sally, Adnan Wa Lina, Al Haddaf.

- You watched: Captain Majed, Sandy Bell (even if you're a boy), Judy Abbott, Bell wa
Sebastian, Al 7oot El Abyad, Lady Oscar (bass balash lady, abu el shabaab), Labeeba (who we never tend to know she got hair for hands or hands for hair), Sonbol, Tamtamm, Jazeerat El Kanz, Maymouna, Al Ra7alou El Sa3'eer, Flona, Sindibad, Tom Sawyer.

- You watched Eftah Ya Semsem, and later on in your life found out it's the Arabic version of Sesame Street.

- You know the two flavours of 'Shokalatet Moody'. Yes it has been 4 years now since the day we left our home land back to our beloved city Amman here in Jordan, I will talk no more about me and I will show you the picture:

After we left Palestine back to Jordan, my uncle rent the house for another brave family and i feel happy because this brave boy is holding a plastic weapon, maybe i never did that in front of a soldier, but this boy is great.

I remember every thing in this house, the ladder specially, one funny incident was when there was some searching after a booming near Al-Ibrahimi mosque, the soldiers wanted to get to the roof, and they used that ladder, I just wish if I had a camera to take their pictures, it was so funny that i can't describe it :D, btw they were so heavy for a wood ladder to handle so the first one took 15 minuets to get to the roof (it is only 2.5 meters away from the ground then you reach a stairs) then they will take of all of their weapons grenades and bags and climb one after another.

I wish someday i will be able to get back home, oh home sweet home; just I want my kids to live there in peace after we get rid of the occupation.

I will finish now, just i want to say Palestine is in my heart for ever.

By Ata Al-Qadi.
